REMEMBRANCE DAY OPEN HOUSE
at the
OKANAGAN MILITARY MUSEUM
1424 Ellis Street
inside the Memorial Arena
Saturday, November 11, 2006
11:00am to 4:00pm

Kelowna, BC -- This Remembrance Day honour and remember our veterans with an open house at the Okanagan Military Museum. Come inside and warm up with a cup of coffee and take an opportunity to explore our local history and heritage. Admission is by donation.

The Okanagan Military Museum serves to preserve, protect, and present the
Okanagan Valley's proud military heritage and to honour the contribution made by
valley residents to our national military history. The Military Museum houses a
significant collection of military artifacts and firearms as well as exhibits
that tell the story of the thousands of Okanagan residents who served and who
still serve in the armed forces.

The Kelowna Museums Society is comprised of four museums: the Kelowna Museum, BC
Orchard Industry Museum, BC Wine Museum, and Okanagan Military Museum. All four
museums will be open on Remembrance Day and welcome you to come discover your
Kelowna museums. Admission by donation. Please call 763-2417 for more information.

The Kelowna Museums Society is a registered non-profit organization and your
donation is used to strengthen the Museums? collections and expand services to
the community and support educational programming.

The museum fall and winter hours are: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is by donation.
