The
Okanagan Military Museum serves as a venue for special events on a regular
basis. These might include official openings of new displays, speaking
engagements by military history or defence experts or the induction
of candidates into the Canadian Forces under the Regular Officer Training
Program (ROTP).
The
museum offers a venue that adds to the significance of these events
by virtue of the historic location of the Memorial Arena and the background
atmosphere that illustrates our military history. The 2nd floor gallery,
entrance foyer and Memorial Room allow for a variety of special events
such as meetings, speaking angagements, ceremonies and receptions.

These
special events are another opportunity for the museum to serve the community
as a venue for highlighting important and interesting occasions for
the community and its residents. Invited participants, Okanagan Museum
Society members and the general public are invited to participate in
these events depending upon the occasion.
